DER-Trans Logistics has once again been named to the G75 Green Supply Chain Partner by leading industry publication Inbound Logistics. Selected by trade editors with deep understanding of the global logistics and freight industry, the honor recognizes organizations who have demonstrated significant commitment to global supply chain sustainability and overall corporate social responsibility. Selected companies are developing and implementing best practices to make a positive impact in the world.

The award primarily recognizes DER-Trans Logistics’s efforts in North America, it is consistent with the global mission to operate ethically and sustainably—from warehousing to transportation to procurement—and to respect the integrity of all people and the planet. DER-Trans Logistics was recognized for its expanded use of environmentally conscious transport partners; tree planting programs; park trash clean-up programs; expansion of electric and CNG material handling equipment, tractors and vehicles; numerous recycling programs and continued solar power and LED lighting projects.

One significant efficiency achievement was the company’s recent internal ground transport data analysis, which resulted in the redesign of its U.S. hub and routing guides. Through this effort, DER-Trans Logistics was able to optimize mileage and emissions to save 1,000,000 miles and reduce emissions by 1,600 tons of CO2 in 2021.
